I sold or gave away my kettles a while ago including the 26â€. Does anyone remember how many coals it generally takes to get it up to 350? I’m trying to give advice and I cannot remember.
Thanks.

Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
For regular grilling I usually like to leave my vents wide open and control the size of the fire. I filled half a chimney today for some quick grilling in my 26 and it was running in the 350-370 range. Sometimes I'll close the top vent a bit to further dial it in but I always leave the bottom vents wide open when grilling.
